Andrea started her yoga journey more than three years ago (February 2017).  Due to life's circumstances, the Universe knew she needed yoga and after her first class.  She couldn't get enough!  At first the challenge of difficult poses enticed her, but then she started to become curious about the philosophical and spiritual components.  The next step in her journey was Yoga Teacher Training and completing that education was one of the best decisions she has ever made for herself.  Andrea believes that yoga is for everybody and her hope is to facilitate YOU to feeling the same way she did when practicing: empowered, strong, flexible, connected with her higher self, and filled with peace.

Amy started out as a client of Steppingstone Haven and was so inspired by her yoga practice that she

Carolina discovered hot yoga in 2016 while working in sales and production control for a Japanese manufacturing company. She was exposed to tons of chemicals on a daily basis and was looking for a way to detoxify and take care of her body. Yoga totally changed her life and after a few months, she quit her job to start working with children, get married, then eventually go through Asheville Yoga’s 200 hour teacher training. Her passions include the teaching and study of the eight limbs of yoga,  children’s yoga, and mom and baby yoga. She's been married since 2016, has a toddler son and a new baby girl on the way.

June Taylor

What brought June to yoga?  Well, what didn't bring her to yoga? She was injured, overworked, overtired, and just plain drained mentally. She was suffering physically on a daily basis and living in a constant pain and prayer for help. With a history of being a Personal Trainer, Swimming Coach and a Life Guard; for many years, she knew she wanted to teach hot yoga after taking her first class. It's been 7 years since receiving her RYT200 and the excitement still grows. She is looking forward to graduating with my RYT300 next summer. Her  goals for my yoga practice continue to be to build a strong, healthy, loving space within herself where she can find joy and purpose.

Maria Halatcheva

It’s been 17 years since Maria started her Yoga journey. It has been an inevitable part of her self-discovery and path to finding LOVE for herself, everything connected to Earth and people.

Yoga started as a substitute for exercise, as “let me just try this”. Slowly but surely Maria discovered that there is more to it than just the “exercise”. The uplifting feel good effect from Yoga stayed with Maria for years to come. Somewhere in the performing of asanas, breath work, meditations Maria found clear vision, peace, and that calm emptiness where all creativity and life sprouts from. Maria had to share this experience with the world. Along with all other rich experiences from being able to travel the World, living in Bulgaria (Maria is a native) and the US, working full time as an accounting professional, and raising children. Becoming a Yoga teacher was the next logical step.

In 2018 Maria got her RYT 200 Yoga Teacher certification from Greenville Yoga. Maria believes Yoga brings tools for everyone to cope with the unavoidable stress and trauma that today’s life brings. It helps to build stamina and flexibility for the body and mind to cope with anything life has to offer. Maria likes to implement elements of Hatha, Kundalini, Flow and Yin Yoga in her teaching and personal practice. Breath is a major part of her classes.

In her spare time, Maria likes to read historical fiction, loves gardening, and has an interest in learning the healing properties of herbs. Main and all-consuming interest is Yoga.

We are spiritual beings living in a very grounded environment of opposites. We need to preserve our spirituality and be grounded at the same time to make healthy connections with other human beings and build rich experiences. It all starts with a simple breath. It works miracles.

Natalie Barton

Natalie has always loved to move, learn, and challenge herself.  She started her yoga journey out of curiosity. As her practice continued, she developed a passion for self-discovery and self-improvement. She received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification from the Yatra Center in June 2020. Yatra yoga consists of static postures and vinyasa flow. I mainly focus on vinyasa components. Vinyasa is a flowing sequence of poses that are synchronized with the breath. When breath is coordinated with movement, the mind becomes calm and centered. This allows us to be present in the moment. Being able to share her passion to connect, help, and guide others has been the most rewarding thing about being a yoga instructor. She is also a full-time student at Greenville Technical College, majoring in marketing. In her spare time she likes to read. She usually reads spiritual books that guide and motivate her through her practice, which she incorporates into the classroom.
